SIMA’s TEXFAIR 2024 all set for June 21 to 24, 2024 at Codissia

The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA), founded in 1933 by Sir R.K. Shanmukham Chetty, the first Finance Minister of independent India, represents the entire textile value chain in South India. Since 2001, SIMA has been organizing “Texfair,” an international exhibition for textile machinery, accessories, and spares, benefiting both manufacturers and suppliers. As an event organized by a user industry association, Texfair has consistently received overwhelming responses, providing high value for exhibitors. Recognized as a premier international industrial event, Texfair attracts leading textile machinery, accessories, spares, and service providers from around the globe. Coimbatore, being a major textile manufacturing hub, offers exhibitors significant business opportunities.

The 14th edition of “TEXFAIR 2024,” a four-day International Textile Machinery, Accessories, and Spares Exhibition organized by SIMA, will showcase innovative developments from June 21-24, 2024, at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Avanashi Road, Coimbatore 641 014. The exhibition will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

At a press meet today, Dr. S.K. Sundararaman, Chairman, and Mr. S. Krishnakumar, Vice-Chairman of SIMA, provided details about Texfair 2024. They announced that 240 exhibitors would display their innovations, products, and services across 260 stalls. The exhibition will feature textile machinery, spares, accessories, testing equipment, electrical and electronic components, humidification plants, air compressors, solar panels, and various industry-related services. Exhibitors will include leading manufacturers and suppliers from Tamil Nadu, as well as participants from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Dadar Nagar Haveli, West Bengal, Daman & Diu, and European countries like Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Japan, and China.

They highlighted that textile mills typically spend 2.5 to 3% of their annual sales turnover on spares and accessories and reinvest 4 to 6% on modernization. Texfair 2024 will provide an ideal platform for these mills to meet suppliers, plan investments, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. The fair aims to encourage new inventions and support import substitution, offering textile mills opportunities to plan their ongoing and future investments. SIMA office-bearers urged all textile mills and stakeholders to visit the exhibition and gain maximum benefits.

They estimated that around one lakh visitors, including Managing Directors, Directors, Executives, and shopfloor technicians, would attend the four-day exhibition, potentially generating business worth Rs.1500 crores.

Additionally, the inaugural function will be held at 10:00 a.m. on June 21, 2024, at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore. Mr. Ganapathy P Rajkumar, MP, Coimbatore, will be the Chief Guest and inaugurate the fair. Dr. K.V. Srinivasan, Chairman of ITMF, will preside over the function, and Mr. Rakesh Mehra, Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry, will be the Guest of Honour.
