Residents of Coimbatore city are advised to prepare for a scheduled power shutdown on October 28, 2025, as announced by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB). The outage is planned to facilitate essential maintenance work aimed at improving electricity distribution and reliability across several parts of the city.
According to TNEB, the maintenance is a routine effort to enhance infrastructure, ensuring better voltage stability and fewer unplanned outages in the future. Power supply will be temporarily suspended in selected areas falling under the R.S. Puram and Chinnathadagam substations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., depending on work completion.

🔋 Areas Affected – Chinnathadagam Substation:
Power supply will also be interrupted in Chinnathadagam, Anaikatti, Nanjundapuram, parts of Pannimadai, Periyathadagam, and Pappanayakkanpalayam areas.
