Coimbatore, July 8, 2025 Hundreds of residents laced up their sneakers for a cause at the ‘Run For Cancer Season 2’ charity run held at Nehru Stadium earlier this year, drawing participants from all age groups and professions.
The event, which took place on February 23, 2025, was organized by a local cancer awareness initiative in partnership with health professionals, volunteers, and NGOs. The run featured multiple categories including a 3K walk, 5K fun run, and a 10K timed run, attracting over 1,500 participants.
With every step taken, participants helped raise both funds and awareness for cancer treatment and prevention in underserved communities. Onsite health screening kiosks and awareness booths were also set up, offering attendees free consultations, early detection guidance, and educational materials.
Families, students, senior citizens, and even corporate teams joined in, proving once again that Coimbatore is a city that shows up for social causes. Organizers plan to make this an annual tradition, with expanded outreach in the years ahead.
